Though golf enjoys widespread popularity around the world, the sport of croquet is just as old, if not older, than its closest cousin. This traditional lawn game is well loved among both aficionados and casual players of the sport, and has taken a real foothold here in Western North Carolina.

At Cedar Creek Club, our members have embraced the sport and been instrumental in nurturing croquet’s prosperity and growth in the region. Many a summer evening finds a friendly match unfolding on the lawns as spectators sip their favorite vintage and watch from the covered verandah above.

Croquet’s popularity endures because it remains a game enjoyed best in the company of family and friends. It is a game for all ages and ability, and camaraderie is borne out of friendly competition. We are proud to be a part of croquet’s revival here in the mountains of Western North Carolina.

We invite you to experience the joys of this game with us, and look forward to welcoming you to the croquet lawns of Cedar Creek. If you’d like to learn more about the game or test your mettle against some of our resident croquet players, please contact the Clubhouse and ask for Stuart Waldron, CCM, General Manager or our Director of Athletics, Chris Todd.
